Merciless Beasts introduces a new 10-quest campaign for Requiem: Downfall of Magic, that will lead you on the trail of a mysterious beast. The creature is leaving a cloud of death and magic in its wake, spreading terror in the town of Nassesdorf, in the deep of the Black Forest. Those fortunate enough to cross its path have died, while the unfortunate have been transformed into hellish creatures. But the beast is shrouded in mystery, and it will be up to you to investigate and uncover the truth about its presence.

New Enemies await you: The Beast, the Infected, and the Werewolves and an enigmatic new Companion: Colette the Red Hood!

The forests and city of Nassesdorf are now the territories of the Beast, and anyone who sets foot there must consider themselves possible prey. Introduced in the Merciless Hunt expansion is the Recurrent Nemesis, a special Nemesis that could appear within each Game Chapter, relentlessly stalking the Heroes.

In Merciless Hunt, players will be called upon to solve mysteries that will change the course of the story. Using their Bookmark, players can retrace their steps within the Discovery Book and unlock parts of the story that were previously precluded, thanks to newly collected clues. The new Insight Cards, which you can find in the Exploration and Discovery decks, will allow you to choose between different approaches to quest resolutions, completely changing the structure of the main quests.

Furthermore, a new class is added to those already included in the core game. Characters in the Chaplain class will have Progressive Skills, a new category of special skills that don't have a resource cost, but are charged when certain conditions are met, and are eventually usable once charged.

Belonging to this new class is François, a former knight of the Order of St. Lazarus who joined the Order. Suffering from the most terrible of diseases, he has learned to harness it to become unstoppable in battle. 

But he will not be the only new Hero of this class to join your ranks!

Those who buy this expansion during the Kickstarter (or during the Pledge Manager) will receive another Hero of this Class, the Huntress Cloris, for free! A survival expert but prone to fury like the legendary berserkers of ancient times, she will put her skills at the service of the Order!
